Think about the vibe and mood you want from your setting. Do you want a colourful, busy table or do you want a soft and classic table setting? I tend to lean towards a simple and classy table setting that I can accessories with my dinnerware, food and decor items.
Choose your best dinnerware when hosting
The dinner set you choose should suit the type of food you will be serving. I love the white basics collection from Maxwell & Williams as it is modern with a sleek finish. White dinnerware makes any food look good as the colour from the food will not conflict with the plate. You can never go wrong with a white dinner set.
Bring colour to your table setting
What I love about a minimal neutral table setting is the fact you can add pops of colour to brighten up the space. You can bring colour to the table via cloth napkins. I particularly liked the pink and beige napkins from the Maxwell & Williams Cotton Classics collection. You can add a decor item to your napkins to give it more personality such as a napkin ring, flowers, a printed menu etc.
Fresh flowers are always nice to have at the table as they can also aid as a pop of colour. Be mindful of the size of your flowers as you want to be able to see your guests when seated.
Accessories your table
Place some candles on your table to create the right mood. A lit candle gives off a relaxed and romantic vibe. There are so many different types of candles one can choose from in the market - from flameless candles to glass jar candles. Finally, accessories with your food in casserole dishes like the Maxwell & Williams Epicurious range.
